Comedian Jon Rudnitsky joins ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast

Jon Rudnitsky will join the cast of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC announced Monday.

The 25-year-old comedian has been hired as a featured player for the upcoming 41st season of the sketch-comedy series.

A graduate of USC, Rudnitsky is a New Jersey native whose YouTube channel features parodies of “House of Cards” and “True Detective.” He has toured widely as a stand-up and also appeared in an episode of “Criminal Minds.”

The season premiere of “SNL,” hosted by Miley Cyrus, is scheduled for Oct. 3.
