First-look photos from the new ‘Gilmore Girls’ revival

“Gilmore Girls” is coming back, and Netflix is giving fans a peek at what they can expect with first-look photos from the Netflix reboot of the aughts drama.

The new “GG” incarnation will happen in four 90-minute movies, the streaming service says, with Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson and Melissa McCarthy returning as, respectively, Lorelai Gilmore, Rory Gilmore, Emily Gilmore, Luke Danes and Sookie St. James. Jared Padalecki, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, Danny Strong and David Sutcliffe are also among the confirmed alums returning to the show.

The story line picks up in the present day in Stars Hollow, Conn.

“You notice so many friendly faces and then a few that are missing. But more than anything, we just can’t believe it. All of the things that had to happen for this to happen,” Graham told TV Line in January. “Netflix had to be invented. The fans had to want it badly enough that they didn’t stop asking.

“The outpouring of enthusiasm and joy is just completely humbling and so appreciated.”
