‘SNL’ Alum Jimmy Fallon Engaged
Jimmy Fallon, who found love in the baseball movie “Fever Pitch,” found love in real life at the same time.
The former “Saturday Night Live” actor is engaged to Nancy Jovonen, who co-owns with Drew Barrymore the company Flower Films that produced the 2005 romantic comedy, People confirms.
Fallon, 32, proposed to Juvonen, 40, last weekend at her family home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. According to one source, the comedian presented her with a personally designed ring by Neil Lane at sunset on the dock at Lake Winnepesaukee.
It will be the first marriage for both.
With Barrymore, Juvonen has helped produce films such as “Never Been Kissed,” the “Charlie’s Angels” films, “Donnie Darko,” “50 First Dates” and the upcoming “He’s Just Not That Into You.”
Fallon is best known for his time on “Saturday Night Live” in which he played various characters, sang songs and co-anchored “The Weekend Update” portion with Tina Fey. He left to pursue a film career, which has resulted in “Almost Famous,” “Taxi,” the aforementioned “Fever Pitch,” “Factory Girl” and the upcoming comedy “Rockett.”
It is rumored that he’s being groomed as the replacement for Conan O’Brien for “Late Night” when O’Brien in turn takes over the “Tonight Show” for Jay Leno in 2009.
