Lionel Messi sólo es el último al bajar del autobús y al entrar a los entrenamientos, pero sólo en eso.
El mejor jugador de la UEFA y perfilado para ser el número uno del mundo por quinta vez fue la gran sensación en el AT&T. En ocasiones se acordó de su magia y regaló un par de trucos, suficientes para emocionar a la afición. Una sola vez estuvo de frente al arco y mató al Tricolor.
Messi, vapuleado en Argentina por el reciente fracaso en la Copa América, no hizo mucho por echarse a su Selección a la espalda. El “10” caminó mientras Ángel Correa encontraba espacios y Carlos Tévez iba al choque. Le hizo un túnel a José Juan Vázquez, una faena a Layún y a Javier Hernández, Dejó dos veces solo a Correa y exigió a Moisés Muñoz en un tiro libre.
Incluso caminando hizo sufrir al Tri. Quiso acelerar ya cuando su equipo perdía 2-0. Su técnico Gerardo Martino, que en la víspera advirtió que dosificaría la carga de su estrella prefirió dejarlo en la cancha, pese al mal estado del césped, seguro de que una jugada le bastaría al “10” para arruinar todo el esfuerzo de México.
