Outlet Firsts: When Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, Calif., opens its 146,000-square-foot, $100- million expansion in April, it will apparently be home to a couple of first-in-the-U.S. outlet stores, including Alexander McQueen, Belstaff and Helmut Lang. Other designer and luxury brands slated to join the lineup according to the outlet center’s reps: Max Mara, Wolford, La Perla and CH Carolina Herrera with more to be announced later. We’ll Always Have Paris (Fashion Week): Times fashion critic Booth Moore is continuing to file dispatches from the Paris Fashion Week trenches, most recently offering up her take on Damir Doma (“polished grunge”), Rick Owens (“street-tough urban uniforms modeled by every women”) and Balenciaga (“Alexander Wang delivered his third, and most solid, runway collection” for the brand, Moore noted).

Star Power: Oh, did we mention that there’s also no shortage of star turns at the Paris shows? In addition to Le Kanye, Rashida Jones, Solange Knowles and Jessica Alba have been spotted catwalk adjacent this week. [All the Rage photo gallery]

Eureka Moment: Decades co-owner Christos Garkinos makes the move from reality TV (“The Dukes of Melrose”) to retail TV with Friday’s debut of his clothing line hsn.com. Melissa Magsaysay writes that the 14-piece line, called Eureka, is scheduled to be sold on the HSN Network March 20 and March 21 and “includes dresses, peasant blouses, skirts and pants, all available in sizes 2 to 24 and priced from $59 to $119.” [All the Rage]

Westfield Gets a Little “Extra”: Westfield, which owns 38 shopping centers across the country, is partnering with entertainment news show “Extra” to tape show segments from the “Luxury Court” of its Century City location (at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles). “Extra” of course, has been doing this sort of thing for as long as we can remember at the Grove shopping center, but it’s unclear from Westfield’s announcement Thursday whether the new retail backdrop for hosts Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos will be in addition to or instead of the Grove. We’re going to hazard a guess it’s the latter. [Westfield Century City]
