The Times fashion critic, Booth Moore, called the straight-from-the-spring-runway Narciso Rodriguez dress that Michelle Obama wore on election night (which she paired with a black cardigan) “a major statement, the patriotic red bursting out of black like a firecracker out of the night sky.”
