Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants is coming — and so is Bite Nite

Jonathan Gold’s annual guide to the 101 best restaurants in Los Angeles is getting even better. And so is the Bite Nite party that accompanies it.

In Jonathan Gold’s 101, which will be published May 18, the only restaurant critic ever to win a Pulitzer Prize will rank his favorite Southern California restaurants, in order, with capsule reviews and color photographs.

A special online edition will include interactive maps, sortable lists so you can remember which places you’ve tried and which are still on your wish list, and a series of video features on dining in Los Angeles.

The printed guide will be a glossy digest-size, perfect for sticking in your glove compartment so you’ll never be stumped for somewhere to eat.

Bite Nite, when Gold invites some of his favorite restaurants for a party, is expanding to two nights, May 19 and 20. Tickets, which sold out almost immediately last year, are for Times subscribers only and will go on sale at 10 a.m. April 30.
