National Vodka Day: Celebrate with 12 drink recipes we love
Saturday is National Vodka Day, but instead of reaching for the cranberry juice or Red Bull, show your vodka drink a little love today. To celebrate properly, we’ve put together a list of 12 worthy libations.
From the classic apple martini to blueberry vodka jelly shots, we’ve got enough ideas to keep the celebration going all day long. And for you Carrie Bradshaw fans, there’s a recipe for a rosy-red Cosmopolitan too.
So drink on, vodka lovers. Just make sure there’s a designated driver.

Slice of Granny Smith apple
Step 1: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the apple liqueur, vodka and sweet and sour. Shake, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with the apple slice.

And if you’re in the mood for someone else to whip up a drink, you can always head to the vodka soda bar at Messhall Kitchen in Los Feliz. Bar master Ben Scott is using fruity housemade syrups and Fever Tree club soda to make his version of the classic.
