San Francisco-based CREAM ice cream sandwich shop to open in L.A. near USC
CREAM, the San Francisco-based ice cream sandwich shop, will open a Los Angeles store Feb. 28 on Figueroa Street next to the University of Southern California campus. The store will be the first of nine planned locations in the Los Angeles area.
At CREAM -- an acronym for “cookies rule everything around me” -- guests can make their own ice cream sandwiches with cookies, including gluten-free and vegan varieties, and more than 20 ice cream flavors. You can also order your ice cream in a taco-shaped waffle cone or in a milkshake, malt or float.
Toppings include Oreos, Nutella and more. So, say you want a scoop of green tea ice cream between two Carnival (M&M) cookies with gummy bears? We may question the quality of your palate, but you can totally do that.
The Los Angeles location will also offer catering.
CREAM plans on opening locations in other areas of California and in Las Vegas over the next several years, and expects to have 50 franchises by the end of 2015.
