Tom Schnabel sells Venice property
Former KCRW music director Tom Schnabel has sold his Venice home for $2.9 million.
The contemporary Mediterranean and a detached studio open to a solar-heated saltwater pool with spa and drought-tolerant landscaping on the walled lot. Features of the 3,030-square-foot home, built in 1994, include a two-story-tall living room, an underground wine cellar, an expansive roof deck with mountain views, two bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Schnabel, 64, helps direct the radio station’s World Festival series and hosts his own show. He was music director from 1979 to ’90 at KCRW, where he started and was a host of the “Morning Becomes Eclectic” program.
Ramey Ward and Deborah Glusker of Deasy Penner & Partners were the listing agents. Billy Rose of Prudential California, Beverly Hills, represented the buyer.
