Kim Kardashian buys Beverly Hills Post Office-area home
Television personality and model Kim Kardashian has closed escrow on a furnished estate in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. She paid about $3.5 million.
The new home was designed, built and decorated by Beverly Hills-based Lucien Lacasse. The Tuscan-style walled and gated house has fireplaces in the dining room, family room, living room, master bedroom and kitchen as well as outdoors. One wall of the kitchen opens up to the outside.
The two-story home of about 4,000 square feet includes detailed ironwork, dark hardwood floors, French doors, a screening room, five bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Kardashian will be converting one bedroom of the bedrooms into a walk-in closet.
There are outdoor living and dining rooms, a kitchen, a pool, a spa and a waterfall — even an outdoor massage room. The lot, more than half an acre, has mature landscaping and mountain views.
Kardashian, 29, who is best known for her appearances on the reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” (2007-present), grew up nearby and is familiar with the neighborhood.
The property previously sold in 2005 for $1.3 million, according to public records.
Kardashian also sold her three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom Los Angeles condo in late January for $885,000, the Multiple Listing Service shows. The 1,750-square-foot unit had come on the market in September at $1,099,000.
The listing agent on the house that Kardashian bought was Marci Merliss of Teles Properties, Beverly Hills; Josh Altman of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, represented Kardashian, according to the MLS. Altman had the listing on Kardashian’s condo, the MLS shows, and Shelley Brown of Prudential California Realty, Beverly Hills, represented the buyer.
