Gift pick No. 48: A Question of Eagles’ pots

Fans of handmade design who fear the window has closed on ordering from Etsy or other online sources, you have hope: The push to add more original artisan goods to store shelves means you just might be able to find the work of folks such as Melissa Tolar and Jonathan Ballak in a last-minute run to brick-and-mortar boutiques.

Working under the name A Question of Eagles, Tolar and Ballak have a line of gift-able ceramics, quilts and jewelry. We first saw their work at the Eastside Handmade pop-up, but their website also lists Los Angeles and San Francisco stores that carry their work. Most of the plant pots we’ve pictured here range from about $35 to $85.

We have just two more gift picks left in our series. We’ve created a special page where you can scan all 47 gift suggestions that have been published so far.
