Lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. was described as part of Russia’s ‘government support for Mr. Trump’
Reporting from Washington — The Russian attorney with whom Donald Trump Jr. met last summer was described to him as having derogatory information about Hillary Clinton as “part of Russia and its government support for Mr. Trump,” according to emails that the younger Trump released on Tuesday.
“If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer,” Trump Jr. responded.
Trump released the emails, a series of messages between him and Rob Goldstone, an entertainment publicist with Russian connections. He did so minutes after the New York Times published them, saying he was acting “to be totally transparent.”
