DuPont report shows white is No. 1 car color
Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
December 14, 2007 — WILMINGTON DuPont officials say their annual study of the popularity of colors for cars shows white is the most popular.
White or white pearl has replaced silver, which topped the list for seven consecutive years. Silver and black are still near the top though and the report shows they’re very close.
White is also the most popular color in Japan and Mexico. Mexico’s second most popular color is gray.
The company says the changes mimic those seen in colors used in homes and fashion.
