Dickinson stole second and was moved to third on Amanda Santamaria’s sacrifice bunt. K.C. Craddick then singled to left center, driving in Dickinson for the winning run. Gahr is 1-1.

Relief pitcher Alyssa Gutierrez overcame a 1-0 deficit by shutting out Western and driving in the game-winning run in the eighth inning to lift host La Mirada (1-1). Nikki Johanson went two for four and had the game-tying RBI in the fifth inning for La Mirada.

Lauren Nydam, who has signed with Stanford, threw a perfect game, striking out 10, for the victory for the host Crusaders (1-0).
