Thanksgiving Day shopping: An article in the Nov. 22 Section A about Thanksgiving Day store openings said that hourly employees at Target would be given holiday pay for Thanksgiving, while associates at Wal-Mart would not get paid beyond any normal overtime they might earn. In fact, Wal-Mart employees do receive holiday pay, based on their average hours worked in a week, along with their regular wage for any hours they work on the holiday. Target workers are paid time and a half for working on Thanksgiving.

Drug research: In the Nov. 30 Section A, an article about the increased study of therapeutic uses for hallucinogens and other street drugs identified psychiatrist Michael P. Bogenschutz as a faculty member at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Bogenschutz is an addiction specialist at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.

Jazz Grammy nominees: In the Dec. 1 LATExtra section, an article about the Grammy nominations for jazz said that Kurt Elling was nominated for his album “The Gift.” The album title is “The Gate.”

Rural reality TV: In the Dec. 1 Calendar section, an article about reality TV series focusing on rural areas referred to the shows “American Hoggers” and “Lady Hoggers” as “American Joggers” and “Lady Joggers.”
