Two San Diego officers injured in motorcade collision
Two San Diego police officers were injured Monday when their motorcycles collided during a motorcade for the visiting president of Slovakia.
Both officers were taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, one with injuries listed as serious.
The collision occurred around 7:45 a.m. on the Silver Strand in Coronado just blocks from the Hotel del Coronado. The incident is under investigation.
Slovakian President Andrej Kiska is in San Diego to discuss education, economic development and possible partnerships between the U.S. and his central European country.
