Man fatally shot outside Artesia restaurant
Authorities are searching for a gunman in a fatal shooting early Saturday in Artesia.
The slaying occurred about 12:20 a.m. outside a restaurant in the 11600 block of South Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
An argument between two men that began inside the restaurant escalated and moved outside, authorities said. The gunman brandished a handgun and shot the victim in the torso.
The victim, whose name and age have not yet been released, was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, authorities said.
The shooter fled in a compact vehicle, sheriff’s officials said. No other information has been released.
