Broken water main floods streets and homes in Hollywood
Fire crews were working Wednesday night to pump out water from homes and surface streets after a water main break flooded an underground parking garage and at least one home, fire officials said.
The break was reported about 7 p.m. on Holly Drive.
Firefighters were finally able to shut down the water main, but not before thousands of gallons escaped.
The flooding caused road closures on North Cahuenga Boulevard from Cahuenga Terrace to the 101 Freeway.
The cause of the break was under investigation.
