Investigators are probing shooting death in Commerce
Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man in Commerce on Thursday night.
Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives arrived to the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Harbor Street around 8:32 p.m. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Few other details were available in the early stages of the investigation.

This year, shootings in Commerce have killed two men, according to the L.A. Times’ Homicide Report. The last shooting death occurred May 3, with 33 homicides reported in Commerce since Jan. 1, 2007.
