Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes San Diego County

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Sunday morning 15 miles from Julian, Calif., in San Diego County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:17 a.m. PDT at a depth of 3.1 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 24 miles from San Diego Country Estates, 27 miles from Alpine, 29 miles from Ramona and 248 miles from Phoenix.

In the past ten days, there have been four earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
