2 arrested after human remains found in shallow grave in Riverside
Police in Riverside have arrested two men after discovering human remains in a shallow grave near the dead-end of a street.
Authorities said a tip led detectives to an open field near the street Saturday morning.
With the help of cadaver search dogs, they located the human remains about four hours later.
The suspects, 24-year-old Jesus Renteria and 32-year-old Richard Valles, were booked into jail on suspicion of murder.
The victim’s identity was not released. An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
