Man, child shot in possible gang-related attack in Long Beach
A man and child were shot and wounded in a possible gang-related attack in Long Beach, police said Monday night.
The victims were taken to a hospital and were in stable condition. The child was believed to be younger than 10, said Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.
The shooting was reported about 6:50 p.m. in the 7000 block of Orange Avenue. The attacker or attackers fled southbound in a light colored vehicle.
