Man killed in Sun Valley crash identified as Walter Santos
The man who was killed in a crash on Clybourn Avenue was identified Wednesday as Walter Santos, 36, of North Hills.
Santos was standing behind his van and putting on a pair of shoes Tuesday when he was hit and killed by 22-year-old Patrick Sage, who was driving a 2003 Ford Focus, according to authorities.
Sage tried to leave but was detained by witnesses, authorities said.
Originally, the crash was said to have occurred in North Hollywood, but on Wednesday, authorities said it occurred in Sun Valley.
Sage has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. His bail has been set at $100,000.
