Police investigating sexual assault near UCLA campus
Police at UCLA are investigating the sexual assault of a student that reportedly took place last weekend.
According to the UCLA Police Department, a female student said she was assaulted between 11:15 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, while she was “incapacitated.”
Citing police logs, the Daily Bruin reported that the incident took place in the 500 block of Gayley Avenue, a stretch of buildings west of campus that includes fraternities and apartment complexes.
Nancy Greenstein of the UCLA Police Department said the exact location of the alleged sexual assault is part of an ongoing investigation.
The assailant was described as a white male with dark hair and brown eyes. He’s about 20 years old, 5 feet 8, and weighs about 160 pounds, police said.
