La Jolla woman found dead on hiking trail
A 65-year-old La Jolla woman was found dead Friday morning along a hiking trail several miles from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, authorities said.
The body was found in the brush by two hikers on the San Pasqual Clevenger Trail, part of the San Dieguito River Park.
The county medical examiner has not determined a cause of death, although the case is not being handled by the police department’s homicide squad, which suggests that foul play is not suspected.
The woman’s name was not released pending notification of relatives, authorities said.
