Reader photo: Apple of my eye

The saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” holds true for lots of things, but sometimes an explanation is still helpful. In today’s photo, Sergey Sus captured this amazingly colorful, light-filled photo of ... just what, exactly?

As it turns out, the photo is of a recent Apple store display, according to an email from Sus: “This photo was taken at the Apple store in the Americana at Brand. This display is in the main window, and I like the way all these color balls lined up, especially when looking at them straight on.”

If you look closely, the background shows the line for the new iPhone. Sus shot this photo with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III.
