Summertime sunset
Photographer Mike Polson captured the classic California summer mood with this moment in time at Dockweiler State Beach. It feels like an endless summer dream with the continuous path and sunset that won’t stop. And isn’t that what #socalmoment is: the promise and hope to explore our dreams?
Polson says he liked “that the viewer can’t see the end of the path in either direction, which causes a curiosity or sort of tension to imagine.” It’s uncertain, yet wide open, a metaphor for the future.
Polson is a photographer with an emphasis on arts, architecture and culture. He made this image using a Canon 5D Mark III with a variable neutral-density filter. Check out his Instagram feed and see how he sees Southern California.
