A Laguna Beach man recently arrested in connection to a string of burglaries is in custody again for allegedly burglarizing another Laguna Niguel home, sheriff’s deputies said.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 10:50 p.m. Saturday regarding a residential break-in in the 24200 block of Rue De Cezanne, according to spokesman Jim Amormino.

The victim said a man broke into her home and got away with electronics and jewelry. She spotted the suspect leaving and was able to give a detailed description, Amormino said.

Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Cameron Bilbrey, 18, nearby. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and is facing multiple counts. The victim’s items were found in the vehicle, he said.

The victim’s home is only one street over from Rue De Gauguin, where Bilbrey allegedly burglarized a home on Oct. 18. He was arrested after calls came from residents on that street and Cameray Heights, about four miles away. He allegedly snuck into four homes that were occupied at the time.

Although Amormino said it appears Bilbrey is familiar with the neighborhood, he said deputies have not found a connection to that area.

Bilbrey had his arraignment on Monday and a pre-trial is scheduled for Nov. 14 at Newport Harbor Justice Center, according to court records.
