Leiber’s clutch brings bling to Festival of Children
Judith Leiber, the high-end handbag designer famous for making crystal clutches into a variety of shapes, including cupcakes and dolphins, is making a one-of-a-kind clutch to benefit the Festival of Children Foundation. The clutch, which will include 3,000 Swarovski crystals, will be made in the shape of the foundation’s carousel horse logo. The store at South Coast Plaza plans to sell 100 tickets for $100 each beginning Sept. 1. The drawing winner will take the bag home Sept. 29, and the money raised will benefit the foundation.
“I always thought that our logo would make a great Judith Leiber bag,” said Sandy Segerstrom Daniels, who is a fan of the sparkling clutches. “It’s another dream come true. How can you put this into words?”
