Read the Amazon best-seller that’s trolling Democrats

A conservative journalist has landed an Amazon best-seller (and five stars for his trolling) with a paperback titled “Reasons To Vote For Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide” that mocks the Democratic Party. How so? All the pages are blank.

Michael J. Knowles’ book, which promises “the most exhaustively researched and coherently argued Democratic Party apologia to date,” has an index and a bibliography. Otherwise, it’s filled entirely with blank pages. On Wednesday, the $8.99 book was in the number one spot for political humor books on Amazon.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, who works with Knowles at the right-leaning site Daily Wire, gave it a positive one-worded review plastered on its cover: “Thorough.”

On Wednesday, the book’s Amazon page had more than 300 five-star reviews with remarks like “A phenomenal piece of literature” and “absolute must read!” Knowles’ Twitter account offered similar remarks as he retweeted reactions from readers.

Not everyone enjoyed the trolling of Democrats for allegedly having no good policy ideas and being incapable of running a government. Among the critical reviews posted on Amazon, one called it “a childish joke” and another said it was “written at the perfect reading level for Republicans.”

And, yes, some of that disdain showed up in Tweets.

The paperback edition, which went up for sale on Feb. 8, is listed as 266 pages in length. Think you can get through all of it in one sitting?
