Former ‘Power Rangers’ actor to host anti-bullying program

Throughout October, which is National Bullying Prevention Month, O’Laskey Martial Arts in Burbank will present a free “Bully Me Not” program with discussions on what a bully is and what to do if someone is being bullied.

The program, which will run on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at 1312 W. Magnolia Blvd., is open to children between 8 to 16 years old, and will also include discussions about self-defense, as well as snacks.

The host is martial artist and actor Michael O’Laskey, who appeared as young Rocky, the Red Ranger, on “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and “Power Rangers Zeo.” He also played Colt alongside Hulk Hogan in “Three Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain.”

O’Laskey, who also competes as a mixed martial-arts welterweight, plans to share his story about his evolution from being bullied to becoming strong and confident, according to a statement.

Dates for the program are next Saturday as well as Oct. 10, 17 and 24. Space is limited. Call (818) 480-7810 to reserve a spot.
