OLIVE MAY CLARKE

Olive May Clarke, 89, died Sept. 7, 2000, in Burbank.

Mrs. Clarke was born in Norfolk, England. She was a longtime Burbank

resident. She was registered nurse in her youth and she played once a

month at the Lord’s Kitchen at First Presbyterian Church of Burbank.

Mrs. Clarke is survived by her daughter, Joan Fontana; sons, Colin and

Graham; grandchildren, Monica, Glenda, Devin and Brian; and

great-grandchildren Ashley and Justin. Her son, Clive, died earlier this

year.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pierce Brothers

Valhalla Cemetery.

GENEVIEVE CRAVENS

Genevive Cravens, 87, died Sept. 6, 2000, in Studio City.

Mrs. Cravens was born in Brewster, Kan. She was a Burbank resident for

more than 50 years. She was a homemaker and a school bus driver for 15

years. She was a member Magnolia Park United Methodist Church for 52

years.

She is survived by her son; Ronald Cravens; daughters, Eleanor Osborn

and Sandra Braun; sister and brother-in-law, Leah and John Dobbratz;

brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Skippi Schramling, of Burbank; and

many children and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Valhalla

Memorial Park.

CECIL PAUL WALKER

Cecil Paul Walker, 80, died Aug. 24, 2000, in Idaho.

Mr. Walker was born in California. He was a Burbank resident for 50

years. He was a vice president of Bank of America for 41 years. He was a

member of the Masonic Lodge and he served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis A. Walker; daughters, Beverly Phelps

and and Loanne Ginchereaux; son Edward; brothers Hollis and Edwin;

sister, Billie Dockstader; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at the Little White

Chapel. Pierce Brothers Valhalla Mortuary is in charge of the

arrangements.

RUTH E. COLEMAN

Ruth E. Coleman, died Aug. 30, 2000 in Panorama City.

Mrs. Coleman was born in Washington, Ind. She was a Burbank resident

for 60 years and a library clerk with the Burbank Public Library for 44

years. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Burbank.

She is survived by her son, Timothy P. Coleman; daughters and

sons-in-law, Susan A. and Ray Contreras and Christine A. and Dale

Beckwith; grandchildren, Timothy Taufaasau, and his wife Kim, Christopher

Taufaasau, and Erin and Haley Beckwith; and great-granddaughter Talia

Taufaasau.

A graveside service was held Sept. 1 at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

The Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Intensive Care Unit

at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center.

DAVID A. DAVIS

David A. Davis, 53, died Aug. 25, 2000, in Knoxville, Tenn. in an

automobile accident.

Mr. Davis was a Burbank native and a graduate of John Burroughs High

School. He was a contractor who operated businesses in the Burbank area,

including the Valley Home Improvement Center. He moved to Knoxville in

1978, running home and automobile businesses, including a Web site

advertising special interest vehicles. He was an avid collector and

restorer of rare vehicles.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Giddens, of

Burbank.

He is survived by his wife, Jolene; son, Brian; daughter, Jennifer;

and brothers, Maynard, of Burbank, and Stephen Davis.

Services were held Aug. 31 in Knoxville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the

Spinal Cord Society, 19051 County Highway 1, Fergus Falls, Minn.

ROSALIE MINOR

Rosalie Minor, 81, died Aug. 28, 2000, at Providence St. Joseph

Medical Center.

Mrs. Minor was born in Santa Rosa, Calif. After growing up in Covelo,

a small town in Northern California, she moved to Burbank in the 1940s

with her husband, Charles Minor. After moving back to Northern California

where she worked as a retirement home manager, she returned to Burbank in

the 1980s. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Janet Minor;

and grandson, Dan.

Services will be held in Covelo, Calif.

The Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MARIA “TITA” WARLICK

Maria “Tita” Warlick, 64, died Sept. 4, 2000.

Mrs. Warlick was a Burbank resident, prior to moving to Sherman Oaks.

She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a a member of the

Joslyn Adult Center.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Jr. and Carlos; and daughter,

Yvonne Ornelas.

ROBERT I. COVERLY

Robert I. Coverly, 51, died Sept. 4, 2000, in a Panorama City

hospital.

Mr. Coverly was born and raised in Burbank before moving to Sherman

Oaks. He was a respiratory therapist at UCLA Medical Center.

He is survived by his parents, Robert E. and Aleane “Penny” Coverly;

and sister, Pamela R. Daulton.

A graveside service was held Friday at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.

WILLIAM J. RAMSEY, SR.

William J. Ramsey, Sr., 53, died Sept. 3, 2000, in a Burbank hospital.

Mr. Ramsey was born in Kansas. He was a Burbank resident for four

years. He was an accountant and an actor. He was a member of St. Mark’s

Episcopal Church of Glendale, the Screen Actor’s Guild and AFTRA.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy A. Ramsey; son William J. “Joe”

Ramsey, Jr.; daughters, Kristina Stevens, Rebecca Wright and Angela

Ramsey; brother, Ralph Ramsey; sisters, Carolyn Adams and Shirley

Blocher; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Friday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Interment will be in Chetopa, Kan. Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service is in

charge of the arrangements.

CARMEN NAPOLI

Carmen Napoli, also known as Carmen Hahn, 58, died Aug. 18, 2000.

Ms. Napoli was born in New York. She lived in Burbank and Los Angeles

for 38 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Cheryl

Cosenza; daughter and son-in-law, Canela and Carlos Lopez, of Burbank;

daughter, Carol Lynn Hahn, of Burbank; grandchildren, Daniel and Amy

Lopez, Hart Cosenza and Aaron Baucham; sisters, Josephine Loimo and

Marianna Alberto; and brothers, Charles and John Napoli.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Finbar

Church.

RALPH KEMP

Ralph Kemp. 88, died Sept. 7, 2000, In Burbank.

Mr. Kemp was born in Texas. He was a Burbank resident for 76 years. He

was a flight line electrician and a motion picture projectionist for

Lockheed for 42 years. He was a member of the International Assn. of

Machinists and Calvary Bible Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Jane Romberger, of Burbank,

Marshia Osterhaus and Karleen Patrick; six grandchildren; 12

great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Services and interment were private. Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service

was in charge of the arrangements.

VICTORIA HEDWIG NEFF

Victoria, Hedwig Neff, 79, died Sept. 10, 2000, at Glendale Adventist

Medical Center.

Mrs. Neff was born in Buffalo, N.Y. She was a Burbank resident for 42

years. She was a beautician for 45 years.

She is survived by her husband, John W. Neff; son Frederick; and

grandchildren, Frederick, Jr. and Christina.

The Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

MARIAN D. HORGAN

Marian D. Horgan, 84, died Sept. 7, 2000.

Mrs. Horgan was born in San Francisco. She was a Burbank resident for

50 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Robert F. and James W. Horgan; brother,

Robert D. Bernard; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Old North Church, Forest

Lawn, Hollywood Hills.
