Burbank’s Falcon Theatre mounts two new productions
Garry Marshall’s Falcon Theatre in Burbank recently announced
their first subscription season of entertainment. “I am very pleased
to offer our first ever subscription season filled with five premiere
plays,” said Marshall. “My dream was to build a state-of-the-art
theatre that combined ‘art and free parking.’ Many said it couldn’t
be done. I am pleased to announce our inaugural season.” The Falcon
Theatre’s new season begins in September with the production of
“Cobb” produced in conjunction with Kevin Spacey and Trigger Street
Productions.
Currently, the Falcon Theatre is presenting “A Lovely Light”
starring Marion Ross (of “Happy Days” fame). This one-woman play
“celebrates the life, loves, and poetry of one of America’s most
beloved poets, Edna St. Vincent Millay.”
The second production is a musical version of the classic tale,
“Cinderella.” Adapted from the Rossini opera, “La Cenerentola,” the
production brings the classic tale to life through the use of music,
song, and audience participation. A theatrical experience for
children of all ages.
“Cinderella” is currently in production and runs through September
1. Performances are on Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and on Sundays
at 3 p.m.
“A Lovely Light” opens this Sunday, August 4 and continues every
Sunday at 7:30 p.m. throughout the month of August.
The Falcon Theatre is located at 4252 Riverside Drive in Burbank.
