OWEN AND CAROL CLARKE

Owen and Carol Clarke celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary

surrounded by family and friends at a dinner party at Genio’s

Restaurant. The couple have lived in Burbank for 49 years.

Those attending the anniversary party were their eldest daughter,

Susan, and her husband, Jef Vander Borght; another daughter, Bonnie

Adkins; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelli Clarke; longtime

friends, Dorothy Gallup and Nancy Strasser; Carol’s sister, Claudia

Stiver; and their grandchildren, Jill, Kary and Kyle Vander Borght,

Jef Radino and Amy and Erin Clarke.

Also attending were Jill’s boyfriend, Kevin Flynn, and Kyle’s

girlfriend Marissa Nausha.

Owen and Carol were married Jan. 24, 1953, at Immaculate Heart of

Mary Church in North Hollywood. They retired from the Burbank Unified

School District; Owen was in operations and Carol was in fiscal

services. All three of the couple’s children are employed by the

Burbank Unified School District.
