Shakey’s holding a grand re-opening
Shakey’s Pizza and Grill, which has operated in Burbank since 1963, has completed a thorough interior and exterior renovation. The restaurant is now outfitted with a modernized color scheme, as well as new wooden chairs, seating booths, black granite countertops and red-and-white tiling.
“We’re really excited to be able to bring part of our new concept to Burbank,” said Randy Hill, vice president in charge of new concept development. “This is our first re-imaged restaurant.”
In addition to an updated décor, Shakey’s will also now offer gourmet salads, sandwiches and six new pizza varieties, Hill said.
“The gourmet pizzas are very much an upgrade from the standard pizza restaurants,” he said.
Shakey’s will host a ribbon-cutting celebration on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at its location at 1300 San Fernando Blvd.
