Adoption fees for dogs, cats and rabbits will be discounted to $20 this weekend at the Burbank Animal Shelter, which is among the roughly 50 animal shelters throughout Southern California taking part in a national effort to get dogs and cats adopted into new homes. The collaborative adoption campaign, known as “Clear the Shelters,” will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The discounted adoption fee covers vaccines, spaying or neutering and microchipping, said Stacie Wood, senior animal control officer for the shelter.
