Letter: Optimists scare up a Halloween carnival
It is time again for kids to trick-or-treat and have a terrific Halloween. Burbank Optimist Club is hosting its annual carnival of fun, games, candy and prizes, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Admission is free for all and the event will take place in Vickroy Park, 2300 Monterey Place.
For more than 30 years we have run games and offered a safe place for families to trick-or-treat and enjoy the holiday. We need teen volunteers to help with either morning set up, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., or to run games during the event in exchange for service learning hours. If you can help out, please contact us at (818) 216-9377.
Spookily yours,
Janet Diel
