Hawaiian hula performance set
Pupukahi I Ke Alo O Na Pua (“United as One in the Presence of the Flowers”), a troupe from Honolulu’s Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts, will give a free song and hula dance performance from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. All are welcome.

Authentic Happiness workshop
Veeder South will lead a workshop on “The Energy of Authentic Happiness” from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 26 at the Susi Q. South has a PhD in energy and kinetics from UCLA and is the founder of Advanced Awareness Training. The cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple.

Medicare presentations planned
The Council on Aging Orange County will present “Making Sense of Medicare” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 7 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 10 at the Susi Q Senior Center. Topics include: what Medicare covers; supplemental insurance; Medicare private health plans; Part D prescription coverage; health-care reform and Medicare. To register, call (949) 4907-2441.

Intermediate bridge class
An eight-week class in Intermediate Bridge will begin from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 28. The class is designed for players who want to brush up on their bridge skills and those who are continuing from previous refresher bridge classes. The class will include discussion of hands and scoring. Registration and pre-payment are required. The cost for the series is $95.

Free tax preparation service
IRS-trained volunteers will provide free basic tax assistance to those with middle to low incomes and with simple tax returns every Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the Susi Q until April. Tax aide volunteers are trained to assist with filing form 1040 and the more standard schedules including A and B. Call (949) 497-2441 for an appointment.

Alzheimer’s caregiver group
Those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s are invited to come to the Susi Q Senior Center from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month for an informational meeting and informal discussion. Strategies will be shared for dealing with loved ones who are affected by the disease.

Braille Institute support group
The Susi Q is forming a support group for those suffering from some form of vision loss. If interested in attending a group sponsored by the Braille Institute to help manage sight loss, call (949) 497-2441.

Backgammon, cribbage and dominoes
Those interested in playing backgammon, cribbage or dominoes may have their names placed on an interest list to schedule organized play at the Susi Q. To get on the list, call (949) 497-2441.
