SUNDAY: Hi De Ho comics holds a “fantastic Fourth weekend” with a group cartoonist signing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the shop, 350 Broadway. Gumby and Captain America will appear in person as the cartoonists sign their comics and sketch for the kids. For more information, call (949) 376-4446.
MONDAY: Enjoy a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display at 9 p.m. in Laguna Beach. The pyrotechnics will be shot from Monument Point and the Point and some of adjacent beach will be closed for safety reasons, but all other Laguna beaches will be open.

Legion Celebrates Independence Day
All veterans are invited to join the American Legion to celebrate the 235th birthday of our nation on at the Legion Post, 384 Legion St, Laguna Beach. The program starts at 11 a.m. with singing of the Star Spangled Banner, a reading of portions of the Declaration of Independence, a ringing of bells and a flag folding ceremony.
