In the Arts: College holding open house
The Laguna College of Art + Design will host its spring open house on March 9.
Prospective students as well as parents, teachers and counselors are invited to the interactive workshops and presentations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main Laguna Beach campus, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road.
Staff from departments such as animation, design and digital media, drawing and painting, and game art and illustration will be on hand along with employees from admissions, financial aid and portfolio development.
“Prospective students are encouraged to bring their portfolios for review by college representatives,” President Jonathan Burke said in a statement. “This valuable guidance and direction can impact a student’s development as an artist and designer, as well as increase their competitiveness in the university application process.”
The college offers scholarships and grants.
For more information or to confirm participation, call the admissions office at (949) 376-6000, Ext. 248, or email admissions@lcad.edu.
