In The Arts: Sierra West set for Sunset Serenades

The Arts Commission’s Sunset Serenades continues with a show Friday.

Folk singer-songwriter Sierra West will perform from 6:30 p.m. till sunset at Rockpile Amphitheatre in Heisler Park.

Admission to this event at 361 Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach is free.

Jewelry, mosaics, drawing on tap for classes

The Sawdust Art Festival presents Sawdust Studio Art Classes every Friday and Saturday.

This week, guests can create a pendant and earrings with artist Linda Ames between 10 a.m. and noon Friday or work on glass mosaics with Rosanne Nitti in the first of a two-part class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday’s options include Nitti’s second session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well as figurative drawing with Deborah Paswaters from 2 to 4 p.m.

Admission to the classes, which are hosted at 935 Laguna Canyon Road, is $95.
