Taiwanese glass artist Chang Yi will exhibit his first art collection to hit the U.S. market at Liuli Art Gallery, South Coast Plaza, from Friday through Sept. 27.

The collection, “A Touch of Red,” will showcase circular crystal pieces in different colors, paying homage to landscape paintings of the Song dynasty and Zen philosophies. The 10 pieces that will be exhibited will be paired with a matching scroll.

Chang, a former film director from Taiwan, founded Liuli Crystal Art in 1987 with his partner, former Taiwanese actress Loretta H. Yang. The brand’s art has been exhibited in more than 30 countries and has been collected by London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana.
