SATURDAY: Join Gallimaufry Performing Arts at 6 p.m. to celebrate science-fiction writer Ray Bradbury, shown, who will turn 90 next month, at a fundraiser called “Masters and Masterpieces” at the Masterpiece Fine Art Showroom, 1945 Laguna Canyon Road. Music, dance and art, with Bradbury as master of ceremonies. Proceeds will go toward Gallimaufry’s production of Bradbury’s musical “2116” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Tickets are $40 to $100, with those in the top ranks meeting Bradbury and receiving an autographed limited edition poster. SUNDAY: Celebrate music, dance and life in a 2 p.m. concert at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s Drive to benefit the completion of a new album by Norman Beede and Erik Leckrone, joined by dancers Mark Tomasic, Claire Calalo, Shane Scopatz and Rachel Berman. Keyboardist Rita Rowe will join in two original compositions. Suggested donation $20, $10 for students and seniors. Free parking in the church lot.
