Tree Lighting

A tree-lighting celebration begins at 6 p.m. in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard at Fashion Island, 401 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach. The free event will include musical performances by students from Orange County’s own Musical Theatre University, the arrival of Santa Claus, carolers, jugglers and magicians.

Lemon Drop Dance Club

Newport Beach-based Lemon Drop Club, which hosts singles parties in Orange County geared for adults around the age of 40 and older, will have its next singles party from 7 to midnight at the Wyndham Hotel, 3350 Avenue of the Arts, Costa Mesa. A free Italian buffet will be served from 8 to 9:30 p.m. and a free dance lesson will be offered from 7 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and parking is free. No membership is required. Choral Vocal Showcase

Orange Coast College’s Chamber Singers and Chorale present a fall choral vocal showcase at 8 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. Holiday Boutique

The fifth annual Holiday Boutique, presented by Lil’ Lighthouse Pre-School, is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Lighthouse Coastal Community Church, 301 Magnolia St., Costa Mesa. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase playground and classroom equipment and to support the school’s scholarship fund. St. Mark’s 27th annual Alternative Christmas Market, featuring 26 nonprofit vendors, will be from

Van Morrison Day
