Poetry reading and awards
Winners of the 13th annual Poetry Contest will be honored by the Laguna Beach Library and Friends of the Laguna Beach Library at 2 p.m. at the library, 363 Glenneyre St., Laguna Beach. Poems are accepted throughout the month of April; a poetry booklet, “A World in Words” will be available at the Library soon. Friends, families, and the general public are invited to honor winners and hear the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners present their poems.
Silver Ball
The Silver Ball, a casual night of serious dancing to live music, hits Laguna from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. Dance to the tunes of California Sound, from the foxtrot to the waltz, swing to the rumba.
