Movie in the Park
Fountain Valley hosts its first Movie in the Park event of the season with a screening of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, 16400 Brookhurst St. The Police Department Explorers also host National Night Out, which includes face-painting, K9 demonstrations, display booths and more. Second Chance Pet Adoptions hosts cat and kitten adoptions every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at Petco, 5961 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach. The nonprofit is offering a summer special adoption fee of $99 for adult cats, $135 for kittens. The fee includes neuter/spay, vaccination, FIV/FVRCP test, microchip, collar/ID tag and a bag of food.
