Author Appearance

David R. Stoecklein, author of “Southern California Coastal Mountains to the Sea” will sign copies of his book and answer questions from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Laguna Beach Books, 1200 S. Coast Hwy. His book holds more than 150 color photographs of preserved land and open space in Southern California.

Suffrage Anniversary

The Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach invites you to a “Suffrage Tea” from 2 to 4 p.m. at the club, 286 St. Ann’s Drive, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote Oct. 11, 1911. Dance Journey

Dance Journey is from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. every Monday night at the Woman’s Club, 286 St. Ann’s Drive. Join Chore’ Sircello and Billy Fried for an evening of free flow interpretive dancing, set to a variety of world rhythms and beats. Cost is $12.

‘Shakespeare’s Fool’

The Jason Feddy Band and John Gardiner will perform “Shakespeare’s Fool,” songs and speeches from Shakespeare’s plays, at the Marine Room, 214 Ocean Ave. The night includes a buffet of Old English pub food at 5 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door.

Alumni Night

The girls’ volleyball alumni match will be at 5 p.m. (frosh/soph vs. junior varsity) and 6:30 p.m. (varsity vs. alumni) at Dugger Gym at Laguna Beach High School. Jazz Festival at Soka

The three-day Soka BluePort Jazz Festival will be at Soka University of America’s new Performing Arts Center. A festival package with tickets to all four concerts is $84. Medicare Clinic

This enrollment/comparison clinic will assist individuals with evaluating different coverages and how to make the necessary changes if needed. Appointments are scheduled every half hour beginning at 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. at the Susi Q Senior Center’s computer lab. Please bring bottles of current prescription medications (in a brown paper bag), information on your existing health plan (need to bring all necessary cards) and the name and address of your current pharmacy. Memoir Author Speaks
