Christmas Co.

The Junior League’s Christmas Co., comes back to the O.C. Fair & Event Center for its 36th year with more than 90 unique vendors. Additional events include Kimberly Fowler with No Om Zone from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 18 for $45 per person. Zov Karamardian, owner of Zov’s Bistro and three other namesake restaurants, will demonstrate the preparation of delectable dishes from her latest book “Simply Zov” for $35 per person from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19. “Fancy Nancy” author Jane O’Conner and illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser will read their latest book in the series at a posh tea party from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20. Entry to this event is $28 per adult and $39 per child.

Alternative Christmas Market

St. Mark’s 28th annual Alternative Christmas Market is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 2200 San Joaquin Hills Road, Newport Beach. Admission and parking are free. Worship service will continue as usual at 9:30 a.m. The project is underwritten by St. Mark’s Peace and Justice Commission, which means that all funds raised go to the participating charities.

E-Book Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers a hands-on eBook training session from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. Library staff will demonstrate Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iPad and Sony readers and provide personal instruction for downloading free eBooks from the Overdrive site. Our Lady Mount Caramel SOUL Ministry will host a Christmas boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local vendors and handcrafters will offer a selection of goodies. Dancing With The Teachers

The Newport Harbor High School Dance Team hosts its first Dancing with the Teachers at 7 p.m. Students have choreographed dances with teachers. Attendees will vote on their favorites and will have the chance to stuff the ballot box.
