Pet of The Week
The Orange County Humane Society shelter often has rabbits — in addition to dogs and cats — and they make wonderful pets.
This week’s featured pet is Harper, an American white rabbit.
She is a funny bunny who is a bit feisty and protective in her cage but, once out, is very playful. She likes cats and other bunnies, and her “sideburns” make her look a bit like a Billy goat!
Harper is litter-box trained. In general, rabbits are fairly low-maintenance and quiet pets; mostly, they just need love, exercise and clean cages. At present, we have five rabbits of various breeds/colors, including a bonded pair and a gray lop-eared English rabbit.
No adoption fee is required for rabbits, but a donation of $25 is suggested to cover the cost of spaying/neutering.
